The Memento Cabinet was my first commissioned piece of work, I was asked to create a wall mounted cabinet to display war medals and personal mementos. It was important to design it with a humble simplicity so as not to outshine its future content. The rich Walnut and traditional joinery helped achieve that goal.

The back panel is Elm veneered board which makes it easy to attach things on display. Hidden magnets gently close the glass door which is fitted with solid brass.
